23 July 2023, H.E. Amb. Simon Juach Deng visited Elegu - Nimule border to acquaint himself with the issues at the border. Ambassador and the team held a meeting with Residence District Commissioner of Amuru District and officials at one-stop-shop of Ugandan side. Issues of importance for the citizens of the sisterly countries were discussed.

Speaking to the media, H.E Simon Juach Deng Juach Emphasized tightening bilateral relationship between the two countries to strengthen inflow and outflow of goods and services to create and atmosphere of business development.
