H.E President Salva Kiir meets the Ugandan Minister of Internal Affairs Gen. Kahinda Otafiire in Juba.
His Excellency President Salva Kiir Mayardit met the Ugandan Minister of Internal Affairs Gen. Kahinda Otafiire. The Minister brought a message from President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on bilateral relations with an emphasis on promoting good relations between the two Countries in the areas of security and stability.
Gen. Kahinda Otafiire noted with concern the existence of malicious actors who commit heinous acts in South Sudan and run across the border to Uganda and vice versa. The Minister assured the commitment of the security sectors of the two Countries to iron out such threats.
Gen. Kahinda Otafiire concluded his remarks by stating that "we cannot stand by when people are being killed on the roads by people fighting for political dividends." He advised Politicians that political dividends can only be achieved through peaceful means rather than waging war against innocent people who use the highways for their daily livelihood.
