South Sudan Student's Union in Uganda organised the first edition of Inter Universities debate under the theme "The Role of Youth in Nation Building".

The event brought 18 Universities together which were divided into three groups was hosted at International University of East Africa . Makerere Universirty locked horns with the host's International University of East Africa in the finals.

International University of East African emerged as the winnners of the first edition of the debate.

The Students Union thanked H.E Simon Juach Deng, the Ambassador of South Sudan to the Republic of Uganda and the entire Embassy in Uganda for their support towards the students'  in Uganda.
