Visa Application
Entry Visa Requirements:
- A valid passport atleast six (6) months prior to expiry date.
- Recent passport size photo.
- Invitation letter from South Sudan.
- A valid certificate of incorporation of the inviting company
- A fully filled in application form.
- A valid tax clearance certificate
- Membership certificate from South Sudan chamber of commerce, industry & agriculture certificate.
- Operation licence from Ministry of Finance & Public service
- Import & export licence from the Ministry of Trade, Industry & East African Community Affairs
- Bank slip
- Yellow fever vaccination card
Others:
(a) Note verbale from embassy of Somalia in Uganda
(b) Certificate of good conduct from interpol – Uganda.
(c) A Ugandan residence permit
(d) Copy of inviter’s passport
(e) Copy of inviter’s work permit/ residence permit
(f) A copy of marriage certificate
(g) Return ticket
(h) Hotel booking.
(i) Visa process takes four working days.
Categories of Visa Applicants:
- South Sudanese Nationals: Nationals holding South Sudanese Passports do not need to acquire a visa to travel to South Sudan. South Sudanese Nationals who are traveling with Ugandan Travel Documents require a visa and must fulfill all the necessary procedures.
- Those countries with a waiver (Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi ) can access visa for free either from here or from the embassies in their countries or even travel directly and obtain visa for free at JIA (Juba International Airport).
- African and Asians: Nationals traveling to South Sudan with African and Asian Passports, must fulfill all visa requirements and will be CHARGED a visa fee of USD 100.00.
- European Nationals Traveling to South Sudan with European Passports, must fulfill all visa requirements and will be CHARGED a visa fee of USD 100.00.
- American Nationals Traveling to South Sudan with American Passports, must fulfill all visa requirements and will be CHARGED a visa fee of USD 160.00.
- All other passports not included in these categories will be charged visa fees based on the principle of reciprocity (meaning that the South Sudanese Embassy would impose the same amount that country is charging South Sudanese nationals).
- Government officials and All Diplomats :Ugandan Officials and all other Diplomats traveling to South Sudan on Diplomatic, Official, or Service passport must submit an official Note Verbale from their Embassies or as appropriate. All Diplomatic Visas are issued free of charge (Gratis).
