Passport Application
Material requirements for obtaining South Sudan Passport: As stipulated in the South Sudan Passport Regulations 2011
- Correctly completed and signed Passport Application Form (Form 3 A),
( Forms for ID and Passport are sold at the Embassy 10,000 Ushs) - Two (2) passport size photos,
- Copy of South Sudan Nationality Certificate, issued under the Nationality Act 2011,
( The witness for the first time applicant for Nationality must be a paternal relative or sibling with the same father. They must bear the same family name. ) -
Birth Certificate/Age Assessment is $25 or an equivalent of 90,000 Ushs done at the Embassy
(Age assessment applies only to applicants with no birth certificates) -
Blood Group, done at the Embassy at 30,000 UShs
- Blood group test result certificate from a reputable and recognized medical facility or laboratory, (Optional).

Bank Charges Per application is 10,000 Ushs
Lost Passport: In case of loss of either passport or nationality, applicant can request for a replacement. They need to avail a police letter indicating loss of that particular document and fees to replace national Certificate is $10 and to replace passport is $150
Applications for South Sudan Passport can be made at the Embassy of the Republic of South Sudan in Uganda.
Once the requirements have been met by the applicant, the data will be electronically transferred for permanent storage at the computer servers of Directorate of Civil Registry, Nationality, Passport and Immigration. (DCRNPI) where printing of the actual passports will be done in Juba.
In cases where the applicant made an error while submitting first time application, the Applicant must swear an affidavit from South Sudan and submit it to the embassy for re-enrolment. The affidavit is meant to show the person is one the same.
Printed passports will be sent from Juba to the Embassy in Uganda. for forwarding to the applicants. The estimated time required for processing / printing will be a minimum of 45 working days, or more, depending on many factors within South Sudan.
